My Reasonable Reality

Is the flat surface

On the sharp edge

Of a razor blade

To keep my precarious balance

Between Dark and Light

Day and Night

Wrong and Right

Love and Lust

Depression and Exultation—

This is the greatest Challenge

And though I fall

To either side, Occasionally

I continue to choose this Path

But the limbs of my soul

Bear the scars

Of having fallen to often

Against the Razor’s Edge

Like Modern Art

This pattern of scars creates

A subjective, surrealistic image

Open to interpretation

The ever-changing face

Of Character—

An image that is, sadly

Just beyond my point of view
